Psalm of the Peace Corps Volunteer
I came here to help you
Please don’t take advantage of me
I’ve come to give you my time
Please don’t ask me for money
I’m here to understand you
Please try to understand me
I’m willing to give myself to you
Please don’t steal from me
I came here to make a difference
Please don’t discourage me
My faith is what brought me here
Please believe that change is possible
I am here because I care about you
Please have respect for me
I came here to help you
Please consider me
