In the holiday craze, sometimes it's easy to forget about flight attendants. Due to our crazy schedules, we don't usually get to celebrate the holidays at the same times as the general public. This means that we sometimes get forgotten and end up getting a dreaded last minute gift that we may or not even need. That is why I am writing this blog post today! Share this with your friends and family, and show them what you really want (Foldable wine bottle? I'll take two please!). I got the idea for this list a long time ago on a flight attendant Facebook post about what things flight attendants could use most! So here it is, my list of the best presents you can get your fellow flight attendant!

Contrary to popular belief, flight attendants don't spend much time in the cities they visit. That means we have to hit the ground running if we want to take advantage of all that a city has to offer. We wanted to create a guide for anyone who has only a short period of time to enjoy and the best of Paris. With that in mind, we hope you enjoy this little guide for visiting the most romantic city in the world.

I've been using Google Photos way before it was cool. Back in the day, we didn't have a nice app that automatically backed up all your photos. You had to do it yourself, on your computer, uphill both ways. Now, look at you with your shiny Google photos app. You are spoiled and you don't even know it. Why is that you ask? Well, I'm going to show you just how powerful google photos can be. It will become your one stop shop for photo backups.

Now, before you tell me how great iCloud is or any other cloud based backup solution is, check out some of the powerful features this app (and website) have! In this review, I'm going to assume you already have a Google or Gmail account. And of course, as always by using this app you are giving someone else (Google) access to all your photos. Only you can decide if you want to take that risk. At this end of this review, I'll talk in more detail about some of the potential risks you run by using it.

Being successful in life usually means strong communication skills. If you can't be understood, you are unable to get your desires met. This extends to travel as well. Need a bathroom? Beverage? Food? You need to be able to communicate. Well, when you travel, you either learn another language or you do what I do and you install Google Translate on your phone. Online or Offline, it's always a useful app that I like to keep in my Backpack of Apps.

Being a newhire flight attendant can be rough. A lot of airlines don't pay for training, or pay very little. If you manage to make it to graduation (many don't!), you quickly realize that the hours you get while flying aren't enough to making a living wage. Hopefully, this is where you come in! You know someone who is going through flight academy and you want to help them out! Here are 10 items that can bring a little relief to the crazy experience that is Flight Academy.

Traveling to new countries can cause a lot of headaches sometimes. One of these headaches is knowing where you are at all times. Because our phones rely on cellular data that usually is tied to one carrier, our phones data connection doesn't always work when we are overseas. However, most people think that GPS and Cellular Data are connected, when in reality they are not. The only reason your Google Maps app doesn't work overseas is because it is constantly checking the servers for the most up to date maps. However, the App does know your exact location regardless, even if it can't show it to you. How do you get around this? You use an app called Maps.me! Keep reading for how to use Maps.me to travel the world, and always know where your are, and how to get where you need to go!

It’s funny how one trip can change so much. Sitting here, about 1 week since we got back Greece, all I can think is how excited we are for our next adventure. Previous to this trip, it had been almost 5 months since we had taken an international trip. I can only assume that for most people that’s plenty of time, but for us it was like trying to hold our breaths for 5 months. We need trips like a fish needs water. It’s a part of who we are now, and it makes for an exciting life.

As a flight attendant, you would think that travel to exotic destinations and international locales would be a given. Sadly, as our latest trip has shown, not all flight attendants travel for fun. My wife runs a small tour agency that caters to flight attendants called Crew Travelers, and we are currently in the middle of our trip to Lesvos, Greece. So far it has been an amazing experience getting to know all the flight attendants. I feel like flight attendants are consistently the coolest people you can meet.

It was late when we arrived, and when we arrived at the crew hotel, we quickly changed and ran out the door to explore the city. Most places were closing or closed but we got a chance to hit up a little restaurant called Las Vegas and enjoy some wonderful Cuban food! Then we went out and found a little hookah spot! It was a wonderful night!
